Krugersdorp High School has been identified as one of the preferred high schools for acceptance by universities as our learners fare superbly when they reach their tertiary institution of choice.
Krugersdorp High School offers a large number of learners a variety of opportunities to become involved in cultural extra-murals.
Two full musical productions as well as two One Act House play competitions annually, ensure that learners are involved at all levels.
The Debating team, affiliated to SACEE, produces many ‘best speakers’.
With over 17 hectares of land, Krugersdorp High School is one of the fortunate schools to be able to offer a large number of sports.
The school boasts the first Astro Hockey Pitch on the West Rand and one grass hockey field, a swimming pool, 6 tennis courts, 6 netball courts, 3 turf cricket pitches, 1 astro cricket pitch, 6 astro nets and turf nets, 3 rugby fields, 3 volleyball courts and a fully functional gym with 2 physical conditioning specialists.
Throughout the year, Krugersdorp High School has various events that take place at the school.
These events go towards fundraising for the school in one way or another and are either organised by the school, Parent’s Association or the School’s Foundation.
Krugersdorp High School houses approximately 100 boys and 80 girls in the two residences which have become “homes away from homes” for our learners.
Learners in the residences are encouraged to become involved in extra-curricular activities while maintaining top academic results. These young men and women are taught responsibility, accountability and dedication in an environment that develops a brother and sisterhood amongst the learners.
Educators in the residences offer guidance, advice and assistance to the learners and have a common goal in ensuring that all learners adapt to their environment.
