netball

As one of the top English netball schools in Gauteng, Krugersdorp High School boasts a brilliant track record on the netball field. Mrs Mountjoy, who has celebrated great success with her netball sides over the years, has become renowned in the netball fraternity for her excellence as a netball coach. Over the years, various players have represented Krugersdorp High School at a district, provincial and national level. The most recent players to have made the SA Squad include Angelique Mthombeni (2013), Busi Shabalala (2014) and Nyelethi Ngobeni (2015/2016).

Congratulations to Britney Abdinor who has been selected to represent South Africa at the Dubai 7's Netball Tournament in December.

Well done to the following girls who have been selected for the various Gauteng School Sports Teams:

Even though Krugersdorp High School’s winter programme is just beginning, the netball girls seem to have cemented the fact that they will be a force to be reckoned with in 2016. The season kicked off with the “Best of the West” Netball and Girls’ Hockey Tournament. The 1st side used the tournament as a pre-season warm up for the tour to Ireland that took place at the end of March. The highlight of the trip to Ireland was that the 1st girls played the U/17 Northern Ireland team and beat the 62 – 27. Not only was the tour about the girls playing netball but also having the opportunity to experience the Irish Culture. The girls barely stepped off the plane on Wednesday, 23 March and were back on the netball court at the St. Stithians Festival on 24 March. The girls played 7 games, won 6 and lost one to St. Peters. The girls had two rest days and then went on to win the St. Andrews tournament, where they once again lost 1 game out of 14. This is the second year in a row that the Pink Ladies of Krugersdorp High School have won the tournament.
