Standards of Behaviour and Disciplinary Procedures
Krugersdorp High School is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment that promotes high-quality teaching and learning. This commitment is upheld through the following core principles:
Promoting and protecting the rights, dignity, and safety of all learners, staff, and parents
Encouraging learners to take responsibility for their actions and behaviour
Prohibiting all forms of unfair discrimination, prejudice, and intolerance
Preventing disruptive, disrespectful, and offensive conduct in all settings
The Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected from all learners and sets out the disciplinary procedures to be followed in cases of misconduct. It is designed to create a disciplined and supportive environment conducive to learning.
In accordance with Section 8(4) of the South African Schools Act, every learner enrolled at the school is legally bound by this Code of Conduct. Upon admission, each learner is required to sign a formal declaration of commitment to uphold the Code (see Annexure A).

The enforcement and oversight of the Code of Conduct is the responsibility of the School's Disciplinary Committee.
The School-Based Support Team (SBST) plays a key role in the implementation and monitoring of this policy. The SBST is responsible for ensuring adherence to the Code and offering appropriate support and intervention for both victims and perpetrators of misconduct, including bullying.
